Hunting Regulations
Welcome to Minnesota Firearm Safety and Education
MNFSE conducts Firearm Education courses by
Certified Instructors for youth and adults through the programs offered
by the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources and the
National Rifle Association.
These programs are valuable in teaching the safe and responsible methods
of handling firearms, whether as sports shooting,
recreational shooting or hunting.
Firearm Safety Certification is required to hunt in Minnesota
for anyone born after December 31, 1979.
Young and upcoming hunters will continue the family traditions
and for those who are new to hunting, both need the
skills and knowledge of safe use of firearms and to keep a strong
positive hunter
image in our communities.
The Firearm Safety

Certification Course teaches safe firearm handling ,hunting ethics,
wildlife management, laws
and hunter responsibility.
The NRA courses we offer are to teach safe
firearm handling and shooting techniques. For hunters or sport shooting
both safety and skills are needed to ensure the safety and marksmanship
of the sport .
Because of programs like these firearm related accidents are at an all
time low. Activities with firearms can be safer than other sports
with the proper knowledge of safe firearm handling skills.
Students will receive actual hands on learning. Each course has
it's own curriculum but will give you the knowledge and skills
to practice life long experiences.
Hunter Education courses can provide you the skills and knowledge to
hunt game and if your lucky to harvest game.
The skills acquired to hunt game is a life long learning experience and
these courses help in your early stages of learning animal
behaviors, habits and strategies.

The experiences and memories made in the outdoors will last as long as
there are memories to be made.
